Tesla road trips
We love taking our electric cars on road trips! Our 2023 Model Y is our main road trip car, and our 2015 Model S is mainly our around-town car (it was our road trip car from 2019 to 2023). We charge both at home from rooftop solar and from our solar travel trailer.
☀️Solar RV road trips
I retrofitted our Lance 2185 travel trailer to run 100% on the sun, including a mini-split that both heats and cools it on solar-generated electricity. It even charges our Teslas at home when we're not camping.
🚲eBikes
A Talaria Sting R MX4 dirt bike I ride with friends as well as with my kids on their Greenger Saddleback eBikes exploring trails as a family. When we're camping, they're all recharged from the trailer's solar powered electrical system.
🏠Grid-tied home solar
Our 9.98 kW grid-tied rooftop array. The goal is to use all the electricity our panels produce, leading to heating our entire home from excess solar electricity for two winters in addition to charging our electric cars!
